We are a PRIVATE indoor handgun training and practice facility, NOT to be confused with any walk-in PUBLIC gun range. Please do not call, e-mail or show up with expectations contrary to what is stated on these pages.

Indoor Gun Range Membership
With applicable training and paperwork completed in advance, access to our private indoor shooting range is available for as little as $100 per year. Qualified "Freedom Plan" members come and go independently 7 days a week. Texas LTC holders and Law Enforcement Officers get 24/7/365 access. All other members, including families, can shoot from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. See the slide show at the bottom of this page and Membership page for more info!
TX "License to Carry" (formerly CHL)
We've been teaching Texas handgun license classes since the inception of the program in 1995. This experience has led us to offer several different options, based upon the individual student's level of experience with handguns. We keep class sizes small to ensure safety and individual attention, with a maximum of 2 students shooting at the same time (and a bullet proof partition in between). See our License to Carry page for the step-by-step process to getting your LTC!
Active Shooter Defenses
Two new "sheepdog" courses for 2017 and beyond: (1) An intense 16-hour School Safety Certification "enhanced LTC" course geared primarily for local school staff who already have the Texas LTC - and can score at least 90% on 2 pre-tests (2) A condensed (8-hour) version of the above entitled Active Shooter Defenses, geared primarily for off-duty cops, business people, church people and other LTC holders with desire to take mindset and skill levels above and beyond the minimal requirements of the basic LTC class. (minimum 80% scores required on 2 pre-tests.) For more details on these "Avoid, Deny, Defend" courses, click on "Active Shooter Defenses" link in the header at top of this page.

Partial DCSA Class Schedule (subject to change; check here for updates before coming out for Open House times)
  • Open House is a dedicated 30 minutes for newcomers and students to ask questions, talk with the DCSA instructor(s), and check out the facility.
  • Orientation is the first hour of every class. It covers "need to know" information, including the fundamentals of firearms safety and types of ammunition malfunctions. All students must attend the orientation if it is their first class at DCSA - or if they have already taken an approved class elsewhere. Students who have taken a class from DCSA within the previous 12 months (and DCSA Freedom Plan members) can often get permission to skip the orientation, get a $31.88 discount, and arrive 1 hour later.
  • Potential new members seeking independent practice opportunities are certainly welcome to come out during ANY of the Open House periods given below. However, on the dates shown below in red, we will have more time to talk (rather than being tied up with a scheduled class).
  • If the times listed below do not fit for local law enforcement officers OR Texas handgun license holders seeking to get a DCSA Freedom Plan Membership, send an e-mail to Lonnie at dcsa1996@yahoo.com for a possible appointment for a private orientation and affiliated paperwork. (Read up on "Membership" and FAQ pages in advance.)
  • Potential new members are encouraged to consider at least Option 4 on the Active Shooter Defenses page.
